Marking Deals as Expired
Ask a Question
Some oddball is marking all my deals
as expired when they clearly aren’t.
Whats to gained from doing this?
Am I missing something?
I double checked all the reported deals and all were still live. So i’ve had to unexpire them all. Another couple since posting this chat
Hello, I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad experience on Latest Deals. Please note - at the same time you receive a notification saying your deal has been reported as expired, the report also goes to your kind Mentors to check. If the deal is new, it will not automatically get expired (if it is old, it may do). If your lovely Mentors find that reports are consistently incorrect, the person reporting them will have their ability to report stopped.
Please feel free to email us with our Contact Form if it continues. Thank you and I hope you continue to enjoy Latest Deals.
Tom is actually happen a bit before but I’d just ignored it. But this was 6 live deals this morning almost one after the other so seemed very fishy to me.
myusernamehasgo This has happened to me time and time again, and I'd say those who reported my deals previously as expired were only doing it for the points as I knew the deal prices were active at the time, and even when reported as "expired".
LD staff can see which members make false reports so that feature can be revoked from them if they abuse it.
Rockman thanks I’m glad it’s not just me then.
Still if you only get five points for reporting and can only earn for 3 a day. Surely the points are removed for falsely reporting anyway.
I had 6 deals reported in quick sucession which indicates to me one person doing it and they would only earn points from 3 reports.
Hopefully the team will look into it.
myusernamehasgo And just to clarify, if a report is marked as "incorrect" by a Mentor, the person who reported it will lose the points.
I have had a few valid deals expired recently also (in the last 20 hrs alone 3 deals ), for no good reason . I get a notification saying it's been expired and just double check the deal and unexpire if necessary , It is a touch annoying thou
Yeah because if your not checking regularly people could miss out and many deals are short lived anyway.
I've had this happen too, it's such a lazy way to try and earn points. Takes 2 seconds to check if it's still live.
I've had this problem a few times recently where the deals are still active but I get a notification saying it's expired. It does get annoying because when you check, the deal and is still active
Same here but when I check the deal there is still a two hour countdown left on the offer - the reporter clearly didn't check the site. Just a waste of time and it is best not to take this behaviour personally.
Thanks I won’t now I know it’s happening to lots of other people too. Just seemEd strange at first.
Thanks for all your replies guys
I’ve noticed a lot of deals on here that are coming up as available to enter when their not when you report them and show evidence that hey have been reported then you have the original post of the freebie/voucher/ competition crying
if they didn’t post an expired deal in the first place t wouldn’t have been reported I don’t bother reporting now
