Contagion is one of those where the script writer was able to glimpse the future
As many know my career was in Registration and we were warned of a pandemic in 2008 and had to go through suitable training in preparation. When it didn't happen within a few years it seemed to be pushed aside. That is what made me so cross because when it did happen we were so unprepared when it came to PPE and other things.
That seems to happen a lot in this world L , just look at climate change and what is happening with floods and fires etc, it was predicted years ago and ignored, now we are all suffering the consequences
I will never forget watching star trek many years ago L and marvelling at their communication devices , being able to talk and see on them , now its part of everyday life
Just waiting for the teleporting to help cut pollution
