Just to inform you that McDonald's aren't running the Monopoly promotion this year.

The fast food chain’s version of the classic board game has been a fixture of the Maccie’s calendar since it launched in 2006 (apart from a hiatus in 2020, due to the pandemic).
But while the game is usually launched around autumn, this year, fans are set to be disappointed, as McDonald's have confirmed there will be no Monopoly for 2026.

I've not taken part as I rarely eat mcdonalds, but this is when you can get free food I think. If so, that explains why. They don't want to give anyone a free burger. I don't know if fast food companies are making so much profit due to cost of living and eating at home.
Sherrifffroggy The prices of fast food has gone silly. McDonald's were advertising a burger the other week and it was £8.99 on its own.
We used to get KFC when they had the Tuesday offers on, but that has been gone for a while now. Chicken pieces are also a lot smaller now and very expensive, so don't bother anymore
really?!! They have upped the price to that much?! For one burger TheChimp that’s just crazy!! I mean if you have the money to buy a burger for that much go for it but is it really that good?!! Big burger bet probably just a medium sized one.. rip off as the so called Big Mac one used to be a really good size this was many many years ago now I have heard it’s too small…
It will be interesting if they realise they lose a lot of money without running the Monopoly. I am sure everybody ran for McDonald's when the monopoly was on.
Personally I'm not really bothered that it's been axed because I don't eat Mcdonalds all that much and the competition didn't really make me buy it anymore than I would, though it was nice to win an extra food item. I know a lot of people who do love it though, and really try to collect a colour group to win the prize etc. I wonder if Mcdonalds will be replacing it with some other competition.
Can't remember the last time I had mcdonalds, everytime I find it disappointing and horrible and expensive. The monopoly would not change that for me. But I guess it will stop my nephews from rummaging through the bins to find those winning stickers lol. I do semi remember enjoying it when it was 2 cheeburgers and 2 fries for £2. Or extra value meal for £4. There are way better in other local places for the same or cheaper price.
Mcdonalds are on a real downward spiral, prices are now quite high for what you get, service is slow and inefficient , and most restaurants now seem dated and often quite dirty .
Went in for breakfast yesterday first time in ages, waited what seemed an age, for a pot of cold porridge literally they forget to heat it up, a dried up overcooked hashbrown and a sausage muffin, swamped in ketchup ended up getting a refund and going to Greggs instead.
Oh well. I don’t really buy from them, but I know people who do, so it will be disappointing for them, as you do occasionally get a freebie with the promo. I hope they at least run a different promo that rewards their customer, although I doubt it - guess no one is ‘lovin’ it’ this year lol

and I do crave them now and again… just saw another member say that a burger on its own now costs £8.99!! Wtf

I go McDonald's every other week with a group of people not seen any winners except small bits of food personally im not a fan of their food prefer better quality
Stopped going to McDonald's ages ago, too expensive for what you get now, plus I'd never done the monopoly game
Has anyone on here actually ever won on it? Not like the free mcflurry or apple pie or whatever it was but like a genuine prize. I don't know anyone personally that's won on jt
I didn't win any of the main prizes and the only main prize pieces that I found were a few the Old Kent Road peels for a free meal but I did win roughly £50 in 2023 and £30 in 2024 plus a pair of McDonald's Fries socks.
AnotherLondoner that's not too bad then, something other than a free cheeseburger or coffee etc at least
