Should McDonalds Be Shut down All Together?

Other

I absolutely love McDonalds if it's every so often, although I do feel like it's a bit overrated?

Do you think we'd see a difference in overall health if McDonalds shut down for good everywhere? Would it be better for us all?

No.

I know this might sound like a terrible approach but I very much believe that everyone should be left to make their own bad decisions 🤷🏻‍♀️

Even if McDonald’s were to close & other fast food chains those who wanted to overindulge would just find other ways of doing it IMO.

No, because you would still have burger king, kfc, dominos, all the chicken shacks, and loads of other fast food chains, so why pick on McDonald's? How could you make one franchise close down when we live in a democracy?

Fast junk food is now ingrained into our society and the only way to combat it is by parents feeding their children correctly and schools teaching basic food technology, cookery and homecraft lessons.

One of the only places my son can eat with a comprehensive no nut menu.

No, McDonalds has healthy options. You can get salad around 1 pound and snack bags with fruit and veg. Just need to choose the carrot over the fries.

No. You would have to shut down every single fast food shop in the country, closing down one would not make a difference.

We already teach about how unhealthy these places are in home ec lessons in schools but maybe we need to do it more often. Parents also have a role to play when it comes to young children and teaching them about what food is healthy and what isn't and how they should be eaten in moderation or as a special treat.

You can have healthy options from places like McDonald's but people go there because they want the unhealthy option.

Bit extreme shutting Mcdonalds because some of their food is unhealthy. Your not forced to go there or buy it and they do now offer a few healthy options also which is good.

The thing with Mcdonald it's so convenient and priced well. I find it difficult to find healthy food that is quick, convenient and readily available, even things like Greggs or supermarket sandwiches which you think are healthy often contain high level of fat, salt and sugar, and they always place the tempting cakes/chocolate bars/ sausage rolls etc right by them anyway.
