Members Leaving Comment in Post
Ask a Question
This is point scoring at it’s finest.
Every night posts deal at midnight and leaves comment in own posts where it could be put in description.
120 easy points.
Is this not against ld rules and guild lines or allowed.
Could someone plain I don’t won’t to be a nag but there are genuine members on here that ain’t just in it for points
I've just had a look and I think I know who you mean. I agree, their comment is something they should have included in their description, seems a bit cheeky to post it the way they are just to get their points.
Ann1984 I've just checked and she's actually copy pasting Amazon reviews left by others and posting them as her own views
It isn't just on deals, I often see them do it here on chat too. I've also noticed at least one person posting their comment and a GIF to it as a reply.
If they see this they might like to know that if they want to post a Gif or something extra to a deal description (as an afterthought) it can be added to the original using "edit".
I have also seen some post the same thing 3 times but in different colours in clothes and another posts the same deal 3 times so it appears one after the other.
SarahBenne67061 .I know the one that gets posted 3 times usually gets remove by the morning leaving just one post, last I checked the one in different colours remains probably as they each have a separate url.
That’s unfair. Surely they shouldn’t be allowed points for their own post! I don’t even know how to up load a deal
I'm fairly new here, it's been a rather difficult start for me. My thoughts on this are I don't see a real issue here, each to their own, it doesn't appear to be against the rules. If we all start having issue with other members, it will just lead to a rather authoritarian approach. Most of us are here for the deals, the points are a nice bonus and provide an incentive to post deals, chats etc. Peace
I think I know exactly who you are referring to. Without giving names, this person wouldn't be a female by any chance?
Yes noticed this member the other night on a "smart plug " deal from Amazon marketplace . Basically a "click and paste deal " and then clicks and pastes the first review as the first comment .
Seemed strange to me at the time as the first comment (by the member on their own deal ) said it was useless with no instructions !
Obviously like many "click and paste " non deals on here members haven't a clue what they are actually posting !
Hey guys
If you see someone that looks like they're intentionally trying to game the points system please do drop us an email so that we can investigate. Please don't call them out by name on the site as it could be there's a legitimate but unknown reason for their behaviour, a misunderstanding or that they just need a bit of a guiding hand!
I can certainly understand why some people are tempted to see how far they can push the boundaries of the points system. We'll always try and give those people a second chance or the benefit of the doubt and clarify the guidelines.
Letting us know is always appreciated as it helps us protect the points system for the vast majority of people who use it properly
