MERE, New Russian Supermarket, Opens This Weekend
In the News
Have you heard of MERE? A new Russian supermarket opening this weekend.
I made this video to share more details including:
- What is it?
- Where is it opening?
- How is it so cheap?
What do you think? Would you like to try it? Or do you think "no service" might be a step too far?
I’ve been waiting for it to pop up over here, although I doubt there will be one in London anytime soon, as they usually try it out outside the m25 area first
I will definitely check it,I know its very popular abroad, prices are cheaper and quality is good. For me there is no difference to take from the pallet or shelf .I am lucky to have one not far from me, so I hope it will be good and I will attend it often.
Just finished reading about their stores and they say they will be like costco but with no membership
There will only be eight members of staff in store - a director, four cashiers and three who handle deliveries
My worry would be health and safety , if things are dropped and become a hazard who will clean up ?
Will there be security guards to deter potential thieves ?
Saying that, if they have been operating in other countries and they are still open it must be working
This is how Aldi started off they used pallets. They now have more staff and the shelfs are stacked.
