Mince Pie Anyone?

Well I had a rare morning off so thought I had better start on the mince pies........the weird looking ones are mince crumble pies. Next batch will be Viennese and then frangipane. 
Ooooooh! They look good! I love the sound of the Viennese option - its a good job I'm having a cuppa with a mini stollen or I'd be round. 
Yes the Viennese is everyone's favourite but Frangipane goes down well too. Nice for a big tart with mince instead of jam and lots of flaked almonds like a Bakewell.
Keep them warm and Iβll bring the cream. It has to be Waitrose thick double cream especially on mince pies. My pastry is rock hard so I buy mince pies. The Waitrose all butter ones are delicious and yours look good too i can only eat two in one sitting.
Same as my two boys they loathe them but their wives love em. I have to make 6 to 8 dozen per year for friends and family so I start in November and they freeze very well.
I donβt usually buy them. Iβd be the only one eating them. If I did, hot with cream.... yummy
