Mobile Internet with Only 2GB per Month?
Other
How do people make it through with only 2 gigs each month? I know, for the basics it does its job but you can barely get around anything with such a tiny amount.
You'd need to stop/block all videos, gifs, high resolution images and audio media from loading or else that eats up and eventually you hit the 2GB limit.
These days you can load/download a 2GB file within minutes (for example, watching YouTube videos or download and listening to high-end audio formats).

If you live in a city it's possible to get around it by using your home WiFi and making use of free WiFi at work, in cafés, etc. I only have a 3GB contract and rarely get close to exceeding that.

Up until a week ago I'd 1GB never exceeded. Just upgraded to 2GB, baffles my why people need so much data.

I am the same. I am at the end of a 1GB contract and looking for a new contract at the moment. Looking back I have only once gone above 500mb in a month. Just use wifii at home , work and even have free wifi on the buses. Offers of really large data levels are just not winning for me at the moment

Using home WiFi and hotspots help a lot but if you rely solely on mobile data, you'd probably exceed the limit.
With only 500MB-2GB it's just enough for basic internet (no videos, no music, no high quality pictures, etc) use and nothing else.

Lol so you will definitely think I’m strange for getting by with only 200mb data on my mobile? I just use WiFi in most situations, or use my apps that don’t require being hooked onto the net

Nah, Mobile Data + WiFi/Hotspots are the best way to go about it and around the limits.
If I wanted to download, say, Sonic 4 Episode 2 from the Play Store which is almost 500 MB that'd eat up a basic mobile data so one needs to be careful where to spend those mere megabytes.
Even just loading up websites also counts as download.

I'm on 2gb too and have never got near that limit, i just use wifi in shops etc when out and about if i needed to and check everything i need before i go out so other than maybe google maps or checking I've picked up the correct item on a shopping app i just wait until I'm home for the internet. I like being offline as it does take over as someone mentioned earlier
