Nice Things to do on Mother's Day for Less Than £20?
Ask a Question
Nice things to do on Mother’s Day for your mum under a budget of about £20 don’t want to spend a fortune things are tight at the moment
Take her our for a cup of coffee and a chat, or invite her over to your house for dinner. My mum loves nothing more than spending time with us, she always says she can buy her own flowers/chocolates/whisky but she can't buy more time with us. Or make her an album with photos of the two of you from when you were a baby until now.
Most mums don't want loads of presents and gifts especially when they know things are tight, just showing appreciation and spending quality time with them means a hell of a lot more.
I'm not a fan of all of these 'days' Valentines, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, if you can't show your love and appreciation every day of the year and only think about buying a gift because the calendar says so, there is something wrong. The best presents are your presence
As others are saying quality time spent with your Mum costs nothing but means the world to her .
I love my kids buying me an afternoon tea voucher. You can often pick them up on Buyagift and Groupon also often a code to use too.
My best Mother’s Day gift was a mini cruise with my daughter on a 5* ship but I’m grateful if they remember.
Take her to the cinema with a large bar of chocolate to share.
If she doesn't want to go, I'm free on 22nd March! (Cadbury's whole nut please)

Time is the most precious gift any of us can give! As someone who no longer has my mum, I'm aware more than ever how precious it is. I just want my sons to spend time with me. I dont need a card or flowers or any gift. Make a memory with your mum, even if it's at home, tea, scones & a chat. I'm sure she'd appreciate that more than any gift.
Bake something or make/buy a personalised photo gift, don't have to spend a lot to give a nice gift. A home cooked meal or dessert can be a great gift
Buy a gift always have sign up offers on and they do afternoon tea for 2 in a few different places, may be a bit cheaper than booking direct.
as a mum and the fact i spoke to my mum about it she and i both said just time and a cuppa lol.
My mums quite happy with a bottle of lambrini. it’s the thought that count and making Some time.
she also likes pigs, so I bought her a little pig figure for her garden once. She was so happy. Garden centres do lovely little gifts.
I would be more than happy with a card. The fact that they remembered me at all would be a gift enough.
We normally go for a family meal, although that far exceeds £20! I guess if you’ve got brothers and sisters, you could split the bill to male it cheaper. Or if you’re really feeling the pinch, get a John Lewis card so they send you a free hot drink and cake coupon, and that’s you sorted
