Mother's Day and Father's Day Budgets for Gifts

Ask a Question

Hi there, I'm interested to hear what your budgets are for mother's and Father's Day. Do you spend more or less than birthdays? What is your typical budget?

Hi saverdeals both my mum and dad passed away. But i would spend around £50.00 on each of them. It would be a less I could do after all what they did for me. 😊

As I said in another thread about mother's day, I would be happy with a visit and a bunch of flowers from my family, there is no need for a gift as that is not what mother's day is all about. It was originally a spring holiday for servants to travel home and visit their mothers. Showing you care is not about the value of a gift and no mother would ever judge based on that.

I agree, I usually just get a token gift, like a candle, chocolate or a mug. Just something to show you're thinking of them.

I normally get my mum a card and a cinema voucher, so around £20.

I get my dad a card and a voucher for the golf store or tickets for his football team, so again around £20.

If I am able to see them around the day then I take them for lunch.
