Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Donald Glover are going to star in a reboot of 2005 film Mr and Mrs Smith
I hope this reboot is better than the original that starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (it wasn't very good)
I have never seen the original and I won't be watching this one as I can't stand Phoebe Waller-Bridge as an actress! I've tried to watch a few shows she is in and have just found them awful, so I will be avoiding this one.
I guess there is a kind of smugness to her character, especially in fleabag? Just as well she is much nicer in person
ptenn00 I cannot stand fleabag! Watched about 5 minutes and had to turn off. I find that no matter what character she plays they come across as arrogant and spoilt and it puts me right off. I'm sure she is a lovely person in real life, it is just the way she portrays her characters
It says it will be a series, not a film. With those two it is likely to be a comedy so I won't be watching as I am not into comedies, they rarely fulfil their potential.
I didn't really enjoy the 2005 film. I don't have high expectations. However, given it's going to be shown on Amazon Prime Video I'll give it a try.
If she’s going to be anything like her flea bag character, I suspect it’ll be funnier than the original. But I’m sure it’s not likely to be a huge hit either
the success of fleabag has definitely given her the spotlight, as she is doing lots of productions right now. As she usually writes her own stuff, it might be cleverly done
