M&S closures....

Hi nipperjwb I've never shopped in m&s. It's just to dear. It's lovely stuff but it's way to dear for me. I had a feeling that this this year they would close. And I think the next one to follow will be dembernes. There not may shops left now on the high street. People now buy on line.

My local M&S closed last year - I won't miss it - the last time I used it a few years ago, because I'd won a voucher, I didn't find anything about it that made me want to return.

M&S just wouldn't "keep up with the times" they were probably the last high street retailers who wouldn't accept credit cards.

Although I can't speak for all - I found many M&S employers not too polite, "please and thankyou" seemed to be a few words they hadn't been trained to use.

C&A until they closed ALL UK stores in early 2001 - were probably the best for price, quality and customer service.

I’ve only ever gone shopping in there in the sales but even then most of it was too much. My kids, when they were little, used to say nanas gone to marks expensives

I would miss getting M&S food, as some of the stuff is quite good. But not for anything else, as everything is too expensive

I don't usually shop at Marks and Spencer as I find it too expensive,only few times a year really and their clothes are not really to my liking but is sad to see it going as well as other high street shops

I would miss M&S, I went there yesterday to buy some food. With high business rates and strong competition it's sad but inevitable they would close less profitable stores. Although, it's unlikely M&S will go under anytime soon.

I would definitely miss you M&S, get most of my everyday clothes from there.

I love M&S and buy lots from them. Good quality clothes and wonderful food hall although I must admit the food is somewhat expensive especially the fruit.
