M&S Coming To Ocado Delivery 1st September!

In the News

If like me you LOVE M&S food but find it a bit awkward getting there then you will be as thrilled as me that M&S has finally announced a date that they will be partnering up with Ocado to offer a delivery service.

Seems like ages ago it was announced but now the date is finally here September 1st. Initially, they will offer almost 6,000 products that will replace the Waitrose essentials range from Ocado. They say virtually every Waitrose product will be removed and replaced with an M&S equivalent.

M&S are also creating 1,000 new products to be launched in September too that will fill any gaps left from the disappearance of Waitrose items so you will be able to do a full shop as Ocado also offer their own brand and other branded items too.

They also offer a Low Price Promise that check's your shopping against the listed prices at Tesco (including offers). From September, comparable M&S products will also be included. If your shopping would have been cheaper at Tesco, they will give you a voucher back for more than the difference (up to £10)

They say If you shop for similar products, you won’t notice a difference in your weekly shopping bill.

Are you excited about this?

I really like M&S food, this could be fatal to my bank balance and waistline.

I think I might be tempted to take advantage of this. I wonder what the minimum spend will be. Hard to believe the price promise as M & S are notorious for higher prices even on basic foods.

I’m in love with M&S food too. The only thing that might put me off is the £6.99 delivery charge.

I'm sure you can get delivery passes and its free over £75 too. I don't think I've ever paid that for a delivery but its all about the timing, cheaper delivery slots early morning and after 9pm so I will take advantage of that 😉

emmabeckz Maybe it’s just my area then but as demand is so high at the minute, all of their delivery slots are £6.99 no matter what time or day it is. Thanks for letting me know about the delivery passes.

iamleo I don't think you can get them as a new customer at the moment but things are calming down a bit so hopefully soon they will let new customers in!

It says the minimum order for delivery is £40 and if you spend £75 or more it's free delivery but that is now so we will have to see what happens nearer the time I suppose. There are also lots of Ocado money off vouchers so hopefully that will continue as well 😋

This is much needed for M&S as their current online food offering appears limited to party style dishes. With a predicted worse second COVID-19 wave coming this winter all companies will need to make sure customers can order their products online - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-53392148

Ocado is an appalling company to deal with - they've even been hauled over the coals by TrustPilot for trying to add fake positive reviews to counterbalance all the negatives. M&S - yes. Ocado - never again.
