Muggle Buys First Edition Harry Potter for £60,000

In the News

A first edition Harry Potter book which a father used to teach his children English has fetched £60,000 at auction - not bad for a book that is only 23 years old.

If only I had a couple of first edition copies of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone sitting on my bookshelf.

I wonder if this was bought by a rich superfan or just as an investment to be locked away in storage.

I can think of better ways to spend that amount of money.

There is too much money in the wrong hands.

£60,000!?

And there's parents that can't afford to feed their children while they're being taught this at school 🤔
