The Music Thread
Other
How about a music thread where we share the most recent music we have listened to?
As for myself, since I am currently in the mood for some good ol' classical, I have been listening to Samuel Barber - Adagio for Strings. Beautiful and very relaxing.
RegularComper90 I've loved that piece of music since it featured in a particularly poignant scene in the film Platoon.
I'm currently enjoying revisiting Bruce Springsteen and his many hitd.
This is my pick of the bunch at the moment -
Good choice! I love Bruce's voice. Quite possibly the coolest man alive. I'd recommend watching "Springstein on Broadway" if you haven't already.
I didn't realise that on my YouTube account it made a playlist (or I done it by pure accident) so Public Enemy...N.E.R.D..
Chingy...Prodigy... just loads of my favorites.
This is me i dont know how much longer i can cope with baby shark though. I thought we passed that stage a while ago but now its back
KirsteyJames luckily he is too young for baby shark! But sing him if you're happy and you know it and you get the biggest smile ever.
Ah, good old nursery rhymes.
It's a bit sad that you can't sing 'ba ba black sheep' anymore though.
RegularComper90 Why not? Don't tell me it's all about being PC or not because we do get black sheep as well as white! Didn't most nursery rhymes came about from death and disease in the first place? That can't be PC either!
MrsCraig how old is he now? Hows he doing after his surgery. Mine has loved baby shark since she was 9 months old going to baby music classes she is 2 now
KirsteyJames he is now 14 months old. He is doing really well, he is using the furniture to walk, babbling away every chance he gets, crawls at lightning speed, climbs up the stairs no problem and has found a love of food, especially spag bol. His cardiologist is really happy with his progress. He goes to baby music class too but they don't do baby shark. He had always loved head, shoulders, knees and toes and if you're happy and you know it, he likes doing the actions
My 8 year old loves R&B and Hip Hop (not the dodgy swearing stuff) he made a playlist on my ipod which is now my gym playlist, he's got some old classic R&B hits on it
There's a band called black rebel motorcycle club or B.R.M.C. First album came out in 2001 and I bought it and I have other albums of theirs, seen them live. Great band. But I always forget about them, then I start listening and go wow these guys are great, then forget again. Proper rock. So here's an older one from them that I love called Berlin.
We are a family of music lovers with pretty varied tastes. My youngest sons in a band & my OH plays guitar. We are always going to gigs etc, One of the best gigs I went to last year was Barns Courtney infact my user name is one of my fav songs by him.
I am currently listening to this. Another favourite classical piece of mine, along with Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings..
