Name and Shame - UK Health Supplies and New Eagle - Profiteering

Dettol Wipes were selling at 5 packs for £12.49 by Amazon https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/deals/400-dettol-wipes-citrus-antibacterial-multi-surface-cleaning-5-packs-80--amazon
Reasonable price and now sold out -fair enough , The 2 Amazon marketplace sellers in the title are now selling the same for £74 + - Blatant and shameful profiteering !
I have reported them to Amazon and suggest that other members do the same (Amazon have requested buyers to inform them of any blatant profiteering on their site ) .
Hopefully these two sellers will be then kicked off Amazon and back into the swamp where they belong .
If Amazon have any sense, they'll do the same as eBay and take action against those sellers.
To be fair this has always been the case on Amazon & ebay, some sellers grossly overprice items, not sure why but it's nothing new.
Well those two sellers are now on my "avoid" list and all members should avoid them to teach them that Profiteering does not pay .
Its not a short supply Christmas toy that they are selling at an inflated price , its an everyday essential . They should be taught a lesson !
To be fair the the seller (can only see one) - they only have one in stock, and sellers often price single stock items higher than they expect anyone to pay so they don't get bought, I think because they have to turn pay restocking fees or something? It's why you sometimes see something that's worth only a few pounds at thousands...
It was a lot worse on eBay last week. They have been through and deleted offending listings.
I've seen that quite a few times on Ebay - I've often wondered what happens, or has happened, if someone, despite the very high price, actually purchases, there are some people who never look at the price and others, perhaps because of a speck on their screen, might think that something priced at one thousand pounds is only £10.00
Maybe my complaint worked - I see both the extortionate listings have been removed - or sold out at £74.99 ?!
Exactly , they aren't even the alcohol based ones that might be some good . A combination of daft ,uneducated panic buyers and greedy sellers gets us to this sad position .
I think much of the problem is that too many of the "Snowflake " generation get their "information " and news from Social media instead of the boring but reliable BBC .
