I Need Advice Please, This is to Do with Facebook and I Don't like It!!

Ask a Question

I got hacked on FB through a friend early last year so now I don't click on anything but this has happened...

Last week I had a FB alert saying James England has accepted my friends request, I do NOT send out friend requests, I keep getting notifications to read a message from James England on FB, which I obviously won't click on because I'll get a virus, there was another alert earlier with other FB alerts, I just won't read any now, but I clicked onto FB, I don't actually know why, and he is actually now under 'Friends' which is scarey, how has he got his profile 'picture' under my 'Friends' this is the picture which obviously is a fake that's on there, I don't like it, how can I get rid of him/it without clicking on it?? Hi Jo, if you go to Friends tab, you should see a list of friends and there is also a grey Friends button next to each name. Just move your cursor over the button and there should be Unfriend option there, hope it helps...

Thank you so much sunshinemum, I'll check it out, I only keep FB going really for any codes from Survey sites now but it's getting rather stressful I'm afraid! Really appreciate your help! x

In my opinion Facebook is a curse and gives nothing that we cannot happily live without. It has caused far more anger, upset and worse than it has anything good and there is nothing it can do that we can't do in other ways....text, phone, pics and videos etc. Do yourself a favour and delete your account, the world would be a nicer place without fb.

True it can cause a lot of hurt but it can be a great way to keep in contact with overseas family and show them the highlights!

Whilst it can cause hurt and upset, it does have its upsides. When our son was going awaiting and later going through surgery it meant we could share one update without having to repeat ourselves over and over. It meant we could tell people when we needed and wanted some privacy, it meant we could share the happy moments and could read the lovely comments from friends and family. It has helped us to raise money for some very important charitiss that helped us during the toughest year of our lives. It means I can update his grandparents and share photos as they don't live near us.

I know lots of people don't like it, but it was useful for us.
