Do You Need to Have a Credit Card?
Other
Does it look weird if you don't have a credit card? I don't really need one really, usually just use cash.
Dont NEED one. However defo helps your credit rating. It's wierd but not having any credit is just as bad as having bad credit. Many people who don't need a credit card, like you, get one just incase. Every month purchase something you were going to anyway, and pay it off in full at the end of the month. Builds credit!
I would not need one, but it is better to pay and earn airline miles or rewards, than to pay and receive absolutely nothing in return.
You don't necessarily need to have but want, credit cards can be helpful to make purchases abroad, be used in emergencies or to get cashback from the daily purchases you make.
Credit cards which offer cashback give £100 when you reach £3k orders, so it's a decent tip to get at the end of the year (depending when you opened the account).
Have never had one as we've never needed one! We were still able to get a mortgage even though we technically had no credit! If you can afford not to have one then don't.
As long it's all paid within due time, nothing wrong having a credit card. It gets out of hand when people make purchases they can't pay back and it starts piling up and up.
We have one and we use it for any large purchases and pay the full amount off each statement.
