I Need Help to Get My Money Back from John Lewis

Other

I'm posting on here because i don't know what to do or who to turn to.

I ordered a cooker on JL website as many of of you on here (ive read the thread on it) and the same as everyone else they cancelled the order because of a 'pricing error' which i disagree with as it was in the clearance section and had been reduced several times.

Anyway I tried 3 times to get them to honour their price including emailing Paula Nickolds the CEO but they are sticking to their guns. My problem is they havent given me the cooker or even refunded me my money and we're desperate for a cooker as our current one doesnt work properly ..........

Any help from you guys would be so appreciated.

Thanks

What do you think of this?+20 points

Normally pricing errors they don't take money out of your account, if they do its refunded pretty swift, if after emailing you have requested the refund and they are still not honouring.. you need to contact your bank as they can raise a dispute under "Visa" or "Mastercard" rules chargeback process. Keep all your email from them as you will need this as evidence to support your claim

Thanks for your advice Yahya, i'm just beside myself over it all, they've left me with no money no cooker and i have two disabled young children to feed .... i actually cant believe they've done this to anyone let alone me in my situation, which i did explain to the CEO. They have no heart 😞

I paid through paypal, will this make a difference?

Thanks

Something like this I would consider posting on JL social media pages like Twitter, FB etc.. they hate it and usually things start moving alot quicker

Isn't that nearer to three years ☺☺☺

(the last Feb 29th was in 2016)

What is perhaps a way to resolve the matter is write to them and ask that as they have accepted your money, and won't refund it. When can you expect delivery?

If they are holding your money you are entitled to interest on the money they have taken and not returned "promptly" when they decided not to supply you - ask for it!

You might compromise and if you really need the cooker politely suggest to them that as a good will gesture they might supply the cooker at wholesale price and (if you need it) interest free credit.

When did they cancel or say they are refunding? As if its beyond 7 days since that it should be back with you. Get on twitter about it.
