In the News

it is time all those on the lowest point in the earning stratum got an increase to help make ends meet especially when those making the decision earn a lot themselves

I absolutely agree with you! But I do sometimes wonder where would the money come from? Especially if you are a small business.

I think the same. But then small businesses should pay cash in hand I reckon 😂

It's a vicious circle really, any increase in wages (especially at the lower end of the spectrum where there are a greater number of people) results in higher prices - so the not so well paid even though they've got more money can't buy as much with it.

Although it sounds strange it could be thought that higher wages actually lead to more poverty. It's my opinion that the worst thing that ever happened was the "minimum wage" because too often the minimum becomes the maximum. It definitely happened in a profession I once "partly" belonged to.

We definitely do. There should be no such thing as "working poor". I mean I know people who work a huge number of hours and still rely on lenders just to buy their weekly shop. It's so unfair.

If the minimum wage increases that means people will have more money to spend, so economy will be better and small companies will be also better off.
