Neighbours v Home and Away
Ask a Question
I absolutely love my Australian soaps, so much so I have visited both locations twice and can’t wait to go again. But back to the question, if you watch these soaps which is your favourite and why ?
Haven't watched these for years so can't really answer. But I'm curious how much you get to see if the locations?
Neighbours, you can join a neighbours tour but I just visit the location of Ramsey Street and you can freely walk around taking photos. You can not go in the houses or gardens as people actually live in the houses. One or two are available to rent.
Home and Away, once you get to Palm Beach you can visit Alf’s bait shop and go inside and buy Home and Away merchandise, the Salt restaurant is actually a proper restaurant called The Boat House where you can get great fish and chips as well as other food. You can walk along the beach or on the pier. A really great experience.
eyeballkerry I'll have to go at some point. Need to go to Australia some day - it's just so far away!
MeestairChreesIf you get the opportunity, go. We kept talking about it then one day just said stop talking about and book it. We hired a campervan and this the best way to see as much as possible. We done over 6 thousand miles in just over three weeks. We also stayed in a hotel in Sydney. It was so amazing we booked again for the following year. I am now getting itchy feet to do it again next year. The flight itself isnt as long as you think it is as you sleep a lot of it.
Oh wow, i know Ramsay st is real, what about Home and Away? I don't watch thrm anymore but used to watch Neighbours when it was on the Bbc, couldnt get into Home and Away, but did try
I’ve not watched either for years, but when I did, I kept changing my mind about which one was better, usually as they had such great actors - so much so, that a few of them are now Hollywood stars
Now I'm thinking about it, there have been quite a few. Something nostalgic coming home from school and watching it
I've not watched either properly for years but always preferred neighbours. I caught an episode recently and was amused to see some old familiar faces
