Looking at a new bed whats your favourite size as thinking of going queen size .
Also where do you recommend
We have a Hypnos Divan and mattress. If you have ever slept at a premier inn it is the same ones. We always had a good sleep when we spent a night or weekend so decided to invest in one. Best thing we ever did. We bought it online, king size. Just bought the mattress at first and put it on our sleigh bed frame but realized it just wasn’t as comfy so ended up ordering the sprung divan to go with it. Best investment. We have never slept so well
My parents advised me to avoid Bensons for Beds as they don’t last very well so we got ours from Dreams, opted for king size memory foam but still gives me back ache!
Bensons for Beds sell beds from several different brands including Sealy and Silentnight, as do Dreams. Which brand and model of bed did your parents have a problem with?
Johnny I didn’t know that! Also I didn’t particularly want to get one from Dreams but as it was purchased for us I didn’t have much say. I will have to ask my mom next time I speak to her as she didn’t say at the time she just said to avoid bensons so I thought it was their own branded beds, obviously not!
We have a double bed, ideally I would like a King Sized bed, as I really like sleeping in them when we stay in hotels, but my bedroom is too small as I like to have bedside tables

My old tin bath doubles as my bed , empty out the water , put a few cushions in and lie in it near the woodstove , people get soft using mattreses and blankets . 
Generally I find the memory foam options are not great if you are on the large side. You just end up making big craters in the mattress which is a problem climbing out of in the morning.
