The NEW Nectar
Other
Any one think the new nectar points from Sainsbury’s is pretty much the same as the old nectar ?
I updated my app yesterday and from what I can see it does pretty much the same as it always did and the points system is the same. The app looks more up to date but apart from that I can’t really see any changes.
Am I missing something
We've been part of the trial area for this so have had New Nectar for a while now, but as you say it's not much different to the previous version The thing I noticed is they stopped giving us any Till spits with Nectar offers on, Each week they offer us some extra points on items you normally buy, but this started off some months ago with loads of items with extra points and has now reduced to just four items in my offers this week, three of which can be purchased cheaper elsewhere.
To be honest I'm getting pretty bored with all this loyalty card system as , they offer little reward anymore. Tesco rarely offer anything over basic points, Morrison you need to spend £1000 ( 5 points per £1 spent) for a £5 voucher.
COOP has the best point system...they give a lot of money back what can be spent in store...the others give tiny amount back...
I agree. I dont shop at the coop often, but whenever I do, the rewards value builds up nicely. If only they had bigger stores and stocked what I needed
hspexy Some products are cheaper in COOP....they have deal on choco pops....£1.50 a box, tesco sells the same for £2.00 also on offer.
I haven't noticed anything different to the way it was but perhaps it's only been trialled in certain areas. The only noticeable change in my local stores is the orange till receipt offers - there are none! It was a perk if the receipt gave triple points on your next visit but not having any of the offers will make me use another store.
Not sure what the difference is between the old and the new Nectar card system. I do like nectar because I get more points from Sainsbury's than any other shops tbh.
i have a nectar card but i didnt no anything about this so i will be going to have a look now thanks for posting
I have been on the trial too and found the points build up a lot faster than previously, using the bonus deals that are posted on the app every Friday on things I already get helps too, plus I still get the paper receipts at the checkouts. I cashed in my points a month ago down to zero and now back up to £10.94 with just a small weekly shop
Wow that’s good going ! I’ve been saving mine all year as I’m hoping they will do the double up points again like they did last year.
nipperjwb up to £13.67 now with a double fuel points voucher and buying items on my bonus offers list, soon adds up
nipperjwb I buy low cost items regularly (boring stuff like 20p spaghetti, water, cat litter) and generally get offered 50+ bonus points on those items and for something I am going to use regardless it is paying for itself, I just have to remember to save them every week if I don't see their notification. Another thing I like is that it has my full name on the back of the card, so if I ever forget who I am, that prompts me
I know this post was from a long time ago but did you know that the extra Nectar points offers for fresh foods on the app are still awarded on reduced for quick sale items? I have had several ‘freebies’ recently this way.
