NEW Tax-Free Childcare Scheme... Do you qualify?

The new 30 hours' free childcare scheme was announced today! Are there any parents here in the LD community that can benefit from this new scheme and what do you think of this scheme?

Does not affect me but I think its a good idea wish it would have been available when mine was
Yes I too believe it's a good injection of funds towards working parents for sure. 15 hours is not much for 5 days of school. They back home before you know it!! 
Infact I don't know any of my mommy friends who's nursery I help out to give 30hrs but only 15.
nemosays No, nothing is new about it, but it was not advertised.
I was looking for this, before they told something new is coming, but nothing changed. My daughter is small and we do not get any free childcare...
I think they divide the 15 hours between days, like each day 3 hours, so it is not a big support..because someone really needs to be superwomen to work like that. I see so many Mums they just stay near by to pick up their kids.
AgnesFaludi I think it's also depending on circumstances. The check list says something about both parents working and a set income so I guess it was 15before and now as of September 30hrs will be introduced. From what I know from the nursery I know, parents are urged to register their interest from now on to see if they can benefit from this new scheme which was tested before but now nationwide.
AgnesFaludi yes 15 hours is definitely not enough.. like I said earlier... they're back before you know it!! Lol. I hope it helps some people atleast if not all
