Nintendo Switch will require an online paid subscription to play online

News

So, with Nintendo seeing how well Microsoft and Sony are doing it they've figured they'd jump on it too. What. A. Joke.

Nintendo's online services are appalling and I for one will not be paying to play online (I'll just stick to single player game modes). Admittedly, they will be offering "free" NES and SNES games as long as you're a paid member (just like XBL/PSN).

My, Nintendo sure is being very generous only offering NES and SNES games for paid subscribers. Never mind N64, NGC, Wii, WiiU, DS, GB, GBC or GBA games.

The console is going to flop. Bad launch line up. Old games. Lack of AAA 3rd parties. Expensive. Expensive accessories. Paid online.

You can also only play the "free" game each month just for that month. It is then taken from you. So not like Xbox or Playstation's service.
