Not Feeling Christmassy?

i know some people are finding it hard to get in the mood this year. i was worried and expressed it to my husband (same as you, kids not liking what they got) and he looked at me and was like "well then we haven't raised the kids right if that's the case, it not about that its about the thought" and it hit me... he's right. i always panic about family to and im stopping it now, we've had a rough year (the world not just us) and if that's the only worry then i think we are all doing a pretty good job.

I'm a bit worried that my son will be disappointed because I didn't buy dreams ps4 some content is inappropriate for his age and I don't think he could tell the difference

Yep - I think because I’m on mat leave, I’ve not felt Christmassy as I’ve not been in work surrounded by Christmas gifts / decorations.. and I think the lack of physical Christmas shopping as opposed to online makes me feel less Christmassy

Honestly for me no its not christmassy at all the only thing I look forward to is seeing my daughter opening her presents

Same, i really don't feel Christmassy this year. Haven't even done a tree

Yeah not feeling it so much here either. Work is playing royalty free Xmas tunes which are well .... Don't have the same feeling. Everything else going on is not great. Not really seen family or friends. Just can't wait for the year to end and we will re do xmas at some other safer point next year

I’m pretty sure the majority feel less Christmassy this year. We all want to get to together with loved ones but it’s not safe. How can you explain to your children that this year you haven’t been able to get the stocking bits because it’s not safe to shop and some of those shops are closed.

I wish it was all over to be honest so I'm not feeling Christmassy at all. i lost my gran in the summer so really missing her would have been her birthday on new years day. Wish i could fast forward to mid January so its all out of the way

I never feel Christmassy. I go through December changing the radio when Xmas songs come on, changing the channel when Christmas movies come on. I just don't like them. I do enjoy Christmas, but it normally takes me till Christmas eve before I get excited. I'm not worried about people not liking presents, I've bought what we can afford to, same as every year.

I feeling in a similar mood, my Mum died early this year. I can't visit my family in Wales. Some gifts I have ordered haven't arrived. I can't be bothered to put up my Christmas tree or write Christmas cards.

But I would say don't worry about gifts, as when you Look back, you might not remember the gifts but you do remember the people you love.

Depending how old they are, they might just understand ? If you explained it to them. It is a difficult time this year
