my son has just been given a placement for preschool in January and it’s £17 per afternoo. he’ll only be going in 1 to start with but I’ve heard working people get help with a percentage reduction. And when he goes into nursery he’ll get an increase in hours for free. I work 10 hours a week and my partner is self employed. Anyone know what help we could receive

You have to earn 16 hours @ minimum wage to qualify so if you earn more than that you potentially could get the extra hours. Everyone gets 15 hours free term after 3rd birthday otherwise.
