Their financial problems could be linked to debenhams, who have already announced that they’ve entered into administration, so any retailer who currently sells in debenhams stores may be affected
Sad times! Covid 19 will be the final straw for alot of retailers who were already struggling before the pandemic. For instance New Look has been struggling for quite some time & its doubtful if it can survive.
Glitterandgold Big retailers will use it as an excuse. No doubt a few will use all the government funding if they can to ease the blow even though they know it's been game over for a while.
Dennab Oh no doubt. In New Looks case they've been struggling for ages with high debts & had already closed alot of stores & have only just avoided administration, so they cant completely blame the pandemic, but I think it will be the final nail for them. It's sad that so many could potentially lose their jobs but at the same time we dont want to be flogging dead horses.
It is a shame. There will be a domino effect with the retailers, and so anyone who was a concession will be affected no doubt
