Oat or Rice Milk
Ask a Question
Has anyone changed to non dairy this year. I have recently changed my milk, not only does it taste delicious but it has a great use by date on it so I don’t need to keep going out.
I've tried oat and rice milk and its ok on cereal but makes a horrible cup of tea. I've tried lots of alternative milks including almond, cashew, soya, coconut and possibly a few more and I still need to have a small amount of normal milk or lactofree milk for hot drinks.
I’m allergic to cows milk so I use non dairy milk often and have done for years. My personal favourite just for drinking as is, is Oatly, but I like Koko’s Dairy Free Super Milk a lot too. It’s more creamy like “real” milk. I’ve used it in a lot of things and it seems to work pretty well. It’s a coconut milk though, rather than Oat or Rice.
I have regular dairy milk. I've tried many of the alternatives over the years- oat, rice, almond, etc but I found the taste disappointing.
I switched to oat milk a few months ago and love it, I much prefer it and it helps that it's long life
I’ve tried both and I prefer oat to rice. Almond and cashew varieties are tastier, and coconut is always one of my faves
I regularly use rice dream in cereals and in teas and coffees. I think it is the nicest tasting one out there that seems to cope very well with being dumped in boiling hot coffee. Blending coconut and almond with rice milk is quite nice as well.
Almond and coconut ,perfect for me,I am using it for a porridge ,pancakes ,scrambled egg. But I am drinking coffee and tea without milk.
I do like them, but in my adult years I haven't really been a large consumer of any type of milk. My preference is almond milk and pea milk is worth a try.
I don’t really drink milk or have hot drinks although I have started having protein shakes to help with my muscle gaining, I use Oatly oat milk which seems okay and good amount of protein!
I have two daughters, one of whom has almond milk and the other oat milk So we have three types of milk in our fridge!
I heard that it's really quick and easy to make your own homemade almond or oat milk. Just blend almonds or oats with water, then strain it. Apparently, it can be much better (tastier, healthier...) than the store-bought versions.
I have a dairy intolerance and my favourite is Oatly and it’s really nice in porridge, I don’t mind it in tea and coffee. But if you like cereals I like coconut milk on them x
