How Often Do You Wash Your Hair?

Ask a Question

I wash mine every morning, I think I have a bit of ocd. I just love going for a shower in the morning and washing my hair leaves me feeling fresher. My hair is thick and airy so is a mess in the mornings 🙈

I used to do same as you, get up shower and wash my hair. Then spend ages blow drying and styling then slap on my makeup. As I’ve aged I don’t have greasy hair so no need to do daily.

I only wash mine once a week and hair dresser actually said that my hair has kept a lot of its natural oils.

My hairdresser said same, wash as little as possible as my hair is very dry and frizzy. I have a friend who's hair is fine and flyaway and more worrying it is thinning. She won't be told that washing every day is not helping.

Lynibis a trick I use is rub baby powder in palm of hands and scuff top of hair before brushing brings a bit of bounce

Every 4 days roughly, sometimes even less. I used to wash it daily but it dried out a lot and took so much effort to dry etc as i have very long thick hair. My hair is much healthier now so i just shower and keep it out of the way most days then wash as needed

Every day.I would love to be one of those women who only need to wash it a couple of times a week, but I have oily roots,so it's a necessity.

I tend to wash it every 3 days, my hair doesn't get greasy too quickly so I feel that washing it more than that wouldn't be good for my hair.

It depends. I don’t wash it too often, as it dries it out. But if I’ve been swimming, I’ll give it a wash right after

Used to wash it every other day pre lockdown and it was terribly greasy...these days it's once a week and I use a little dry shampoo but the greasyiness is much much better these days. Think I'll keep this up now I know 😁

i used to do it day and night because my hair was short.

but then i done my NVQ levels 1 2 and 3 in hairdressing and realised i wasn't doing my hair any favours! so i curbed my habit and now years on i thrive for once a week but its usually twice as my hair gets greasy!

i have curly hair and i wash my hair approximately twice a week. i have my hair up some days though and i never have greasy hair- maybe due to the texture of my hair. i'd say my hair is in decent condition

I wash mine every other day, I have greasy hair and I was told that if you washed it every day it made it greasier. But sometimes my bedhead is so bad that I have no other option but to wash it 😊

2 a week but I used to do it 3 times. My hair is not as greasy as it used to be.

During lockdown I washed it once a week, on the morning I was going to go do the weekly food shop and then didn't bother washing it the rest of the week as I was just going to be in the house so it didn't matter if it was a bit greasy. I used to wash my hair 3 times a week when I was working, after I had my son, I washed my hair whenever I got the time!

I wash my hair once every 2-3weeks. I only have to oil my scalp on a daily basis and I’m good to go.
