OMG I'm In Despair With Tesco, I Was Struggling Through My Shop Now I've Got This!
Is anybody else trying to shop on Tesco, I even tried another browser but it kept freezing and now I've got this page and just can't get back on, they take our money quick enough but surely they can upgrade their site if they want to keep us can't they?
I got that too. It's not happening for me anymore though, so I guess it's not as busy right now.
Pjran Too true Pjran , obviously I do appreciate the service just not the length of time it takes to do my shopping and another thing about Tesco is that there were different prices for different delivery slots, I pay delivery saver but my day would have cost me £2.50 but I noticed, a few days back, and unless it's changed, that they had put all the slots up to £4.50, well I think that is disgusting, whether they've changed it or if it's still the same, how can they do that, people who are finding it hard could buy another couple of items with that £2!! x
I understand the frustration JoTarpley with the delivery cost. During the pandemic I started to do a online shopping too and mostly with Tesco. The most I’ve paid for delivery with them was £7 but I was very desperate not to drag my kids around the store so went for it but didn’t find it easy to do that.
I've had problems with sites in the past especially at weekends and realised my internet speeds were quite low. You can be with a broadband supplier with a high contention ratio so many homes on the same connection and it can cause problems for external sites if your connection is slow. I guess if the site itself is busy anyway because of the weekend and your connection is slower than normal it adds together to make a very poor experience. I've had some problems with Iceland doing online shops in the past but not really Tesco. Also thinking about it the waitrose site has been slow at times.
BonzoBanana I mentioned it to one of my delivery men, before it was this bad, and he said that most of them were still working from home and the site hadn't been updated but that was a couple of weeks ago, I'm not a technical computer person but even I know there's such a thing as remote access! These brands seem quick enough to take our money yet unwilling to spend money updating their sites!! x
JoTarpley Yes I take your point that if Tesco staff are remotely updating the website, corrections, pricing etc then they are also taking some of the bandwidth that would be used by normal customers although sometimes I believe the servers can be remote from the the main locations of staff anyway so shouldn't make a difference. Tesco have massively increased the availability of slots for home deliveries because of the huge increase in demand caused by the pandemic and they have invested a huge amount of money in this, how much of that money has gone into improving the speed of the website is another matter.
Yea it’s a nightmare now because everyone is ordering online there site keeps crashing and they won’t put a penny into upgrading there website it’s an old problem
