Cranberry & Pork Sausage Rolls sound good.

I knocked up this spiced Pecan Bunt yesterday, it was very nice, if a little dry

I will be making a Kransekake over the weekend, which is a Scandinavian almondy ring cake.

Black labrador your cake looks lovely. I would love to make one. Are these easy to make I think mine would not turn out like yours. Do you have to line the tin. And did you make your kransekake .๐ŸŽ…

nicolajaynehend Just a smear with butter did the trick for me, but then ours is not a fancy bunt tin so no nooks and crannies for cake to get stuck in.

I'll probably make the Kransekake Monday or Tuesday.

nicolajaynehend I knew I shouldn't have looked at the thread - I am now feeling very peckish! ๐Ÿ˜† I won't be baking the usual amount of things this Christmas due to the restrictions. I hope your delivery brings everything on your list .

This is the only thing I will still make because it's never lasts very long, goes well with a hot drink and nothing is wasted.

kfe202 It's so simple......it's a little embarrassing! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'll find a link but, basically, it's a layer of puff pastry rolled into a circle spread with Nutella, a matching pastry circle on top and then cuts made, almost to the centre and twisted.

This one explains with pictures http://inspiredinthecity.com/2018/11/30/christmas-recipe-nutella-pastry-snowflake/

sunny101 Wow! Sounds simple enough that I could actually try to make it. Thank you so much for the tip. Will report back if I have any success. Yes, please do if you can find the full recipe, post that. The simple things are the best ones, aren't they?

kfe202 I added a link that has got pictures as it is a lot easier to follow pictures for the twists and I only ever buy ready made pastry for this one.

nicolajaynehend Really easy

100g plain flour

Pinch salt

1 tsp smoked paprika pepper

50g butter or margarine

50g Lancashire cheese, grated

1 egg yolk

A little cold water to mix

Method

Sift the flour into a bowl with the salt

Rub in the butter or margarine until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs, then stir in the cheese

Add the egg yolk and then bind together, adding a little cold water to form a stiff dough

Roll out the dough thinly on a floured board and cut into 7.5cm strips. Cut each strip into thin straws

Arrange the straws on a greased baking tray and bake for 10 โ€“ 15 minutes until golden brown

Leave the straws to firm up on the baking tray and when transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely

If you have kids the toffee crisp is easy

equal amounts of toffee, block marg, marshmallows, rice krispies - melt first three ingredients in a large pan then add krispies, spread into swiss roll tin and leave to set.

Finally got around to making a Kransekake today.

I decided against the traditional ring shape, instead opting for stacked stars.

If you like Almonds or Marzipan this is a must bake.
