What One Good Thing Did You Do Today?
Ask a Question
We're all going through tough times just now. What one good thing did you do today that made the day just a that little bit better? I'll go first. I got out of bed today and that is a win.
I changed my plans for the morning so I could stay in and wait for a parcel to be delivered for a relative of mine. She was really looking forward to getting her parcel but wasn't able to wait in, and didn't want it to get taken back and then have to wait for it to be redelivered/collected, etc. It's kind of a small thing but she was so happy when she came home and got her parcel today, it made me feel happy.
That was so kind of you! I'm sure it was a big thing to your neighbour. Isn't it funny how doing good things for others makes us feel good?
I slept in and enjoyed it thoroughly, as I was exhausted from the long Monday I had yesterday
I worked out even though it is freezing and all I wanted to do was relax and watch Halloween movies. It felt really good afterwards, I was proud of myself that I still did my exersize even when I was feeling so unmotivated
You're so good to exercise even when you don't want to. Glad to hear that you felt really good afterwards. Thanks for sharing.
kfe202 I enjoy the pretty contrasting colours of the leaves during Autumn season
Does giving away two televisions count? One to a friend for her granddaughter and one to a stranger via another friend.
That's so kind of you to give away TV's, especially to a stranger. I'd say that definitely counts and you're setting an example of giving for the rest of us to follow! Thank you for sharing.
kfe202 I am a great believer in 'pay it forward' and if I have used something and no longer need/want/upgrade I don't see the point of selling for a few quid. I would much sooner give it away to someone in need. I put out on my drive this year a bench, lawn mower, strimmer, plant pots, steam mop, old Dyson and lots more. I just hope those who take don't sell on eBay lol!
Best thing its nearly over. One of my sons had to self isolate the other go to school and I had to help him with remote learning they dont understand being separated and I can't explain as I don't understand ask tomorrow and get better answer
I assisted a patient of ours by allowing the food bank community hub to forward the voucher he was authorised to my phone as he didn't have a mobile of his own. He was so thankful in the end
That was so sweet of you to use your own cell phone to help a patient access a food bank. So glad that you were able to get the voucher sorted for him. The world needs more people like you!
That's so sweet of you to give up your time to help out your uncle by shopping for him and delivering his groceries. So glad that you were able to were able to get his groceries to him. You're so brave to take the risk of going into the shops too!
Had a good old chat with my nan about how her life used to be when she was younger. Bless her good old gem I even had her doing exercises with me. We made a couple of tiktoks too. Just really spent quality time with her really didn’t do anything so special.
That's so special spending quality time with your nan. How sweet of you to spend your time entertaining a senior! Thanks for sharing.
