My own little tip from observation RE: Sainsbury's clearance
Other
Just had a brain wave, did you feel the tremors? No? Thought not. Little brain, little shock waves I suppose.
Anyway, if your local Sainsbury's has a clearance section in the homeware/toy department then take note of the pricing labels. If a good deal catches your eye but the shelf is empty all may not be lost. If that shelf is still empty but showing the label over a few day period then they may just be waiting more clearance stock from the warehouse, otherwise that space would usually be quickly taken up by another product once all sold out.
I happened to get my Superman lamps that way. I visit my local store almost daily and noticed the label for those lamps showing £2.25 each from £25. I was gutted how I missed them. But looking back, it was almost a week the label was on the shelf with no stock, then wham, one day, a full shelf of them at £2.25.
Once they were sold the next day the label was removed and new clearance in its place.
So worth checking back if you think you missed a mega deal but the label has not been removed even after a few days of no stock.
Nice tip CashoutCarl - thanks for sharing! Also, magnificently worded - would read again. A+
This is excellent advice CashoutCarl! I will stopping by the clearance section in the homeware section just to have a look for this.
