Not totally sure but I know sometimes it's a case of the seller having to accept the payment on their side.

Is it a £235 purchase or £2.35 purchase, in a lot of instances the payment needs to be verified by your bank, hence the reason it's saying pending in your bank account.

Ann1984 That sounds a wee bit dodgy to me, especially after reading your other comment saying you have to wait for a refund, I really hope you haven't been scammed.

I'm not a fan of ebay, many of their rules are unfair to customers and they make no attempt to correct such issues. I bought a collection item about a week ago and paid cash on collection. Both myself and the seller have marked the item as paid but of course because the payment didn't go through ebay they keep marking it as unpaid and this had been going on about a week. Both of us have left positive feedback to each other but of course I keep getting prompted by ebay that I have an unpaid item. There are many horror stories about ebay its pretty vile at times but there are also many annoyances to customers that they don't care about correcting. When ever ebay give me a survey to fill in about their service I'm often leaving very negative reviews but they never change.

I think the reason why they are marking it as unpaid is simply because you're not meant to do cash on collection deals, if you would've paid through e-bay as you're supposed to do, the seller would've paid his fees and you would not have a mark against you as a non payer.

This happened to me a few weeks ago eventually my payment just went through automatically. Have you tried contacting eBay?
