Pain Relief
Ask a Question
I am prescribed pain relief by my gp but would love to not need to take it so regularly. Ive tried a tens machine, accupuncture, physio, pilates, massage, chiropractors, heat rub. Im allergic to nsaids so these arw not an option. Does anyone have any other things i can try?
you could try cbd hemp oil, i have had success managing my arthritis with it as like yourself i dont want to take nsaids for the rest of my life
I cant take nsaids as im allergic so im prescribed codeine, not a good thing to be taking long term regularly
That doesn't help if the op has to take it daily.
For example I have chronic pain and take very strong painkillers for the rest of my life.
Its a chronic condition. Ive suffered for 16 years. Its only going to get worse as i get older. Its daily pain, its not a short term injury that will eventually go away. My spine is misaligned and i have the start of arthiritis. Occassional sciatica and scar tissue in my shoulder from a car accident. Not much fun at 36 years old
joannecroston I too have a deteriorating spinal condition, and am in the process of being diagnosed with arthritis (hopefully that rather than something else more serious) - just had an MRI to be sure, awaiting results (tendonitis and other itises abound) it's no fun is it! I do feel for you though at only 36 years old. Pain is a daily issue that I manage as best I can, as I am sure you do too, but I don't look forward to the future..
joannecroston my chronic conditions started about 20 years ago. I’m on the strongest painkillers available as nothing else works and still in pain. Hope you find something that works
Ae sounds like you have tried quite a few things, I'd also recommend cbd oil, I've heard great things about it.
