How Do You Have Your Pancakes?
Ask a Question
I don’t really eat pancakes, but I remember enjoying them freshly made with a bit of lemon juice as a kid. And then there was a phase I went through as a student when I liked having crepes with spinach and cheese - it was a staple!
how do you have yours?
I always have lemon juice and icing sugar on mine. my children have chocolate spread on theirs.
With lemon and sugar but my favourite is maple syrup and thick fresh cream, that’s indulgent but wonderful.
I like to put treacle on them preferably from the brand that features a rotting carcass of a lion as their logo.
hspexy Yeah well I am a bit odd it has been said, I dont follow the common herd!
Ok just for you spexy i will try a mashed Carolina ass-reaper chilli and let you know how i get on.
Might have to have my stomach pumped though so will need the girlfriend to man the phone in case of stomach or toilet emergency!
Golden syrup & icing sugar. Iv never been able to understand savoury pancakes. I only see them as a sweet treat.
It's essentially the same mix as Yorkshire puddings and they are generally savoury although can be sweet too
I love a good pancake but my favourite by far is with a chocolate spread especially with cold glass of milk
We have pancakes fairly regularly and usually have bacon maple syrup and blueberries. However on pancake day this year were cutting the bacon and just having blueberries and maple syrup (just trying to cut down our meat consumption a little bit)
My mother always made crepe style pancakes plain & with sultanas and served them with lemon juice, sugar, nutella, whipped cream sometimes even fruit. I prefer american style pancakes so i make mine thick with maple syrup
For sweet I like lemon & sugar, maple syrup or Nutella, but I mainly have savoury pancakes, such as asparagus & cheese.
