Pay-by-the-Minute Work Booths
Ask a Question
I read an article that in Singapore there is a new type of workspace available in shopping centres. They are pay-by-the-minute desks within a booth.
Apparently they’ve been around in Japan for a few years already and located in places like metro stations and convenience stores.
Do you think this idea will take off in the UK? Would you pay for a booth at, say, your local supermarket or tube station?
I could definitely see them taking off. Places like supermarkets or service stations on motorways for example can be easy to get to if you’re travelling so you can stop there, get some work done quickly (such as send an email or check some information) and then move on.
They also have pay by the hour hotel rooms for work people to take naps...I believe most are used for naps out is asia...can’t say it’ll be used as such over here lol
