People Living near Landslide Cliff Advised to Move

In the News

I feel really sorry for these people, your house is your biggest asset and who is going to buy these houses?

Pending how long ago the homes were a bought I am sure the lenders would be well aware of risks as well if they indeed enabled lending just as insurers would offer insurance etc. Still shame tho as like you say. Biggest asset. But cash buy still states risks too.

Well if you build a house close to a cliff I can imagine that's what will happen eventually.

Sadly lots of properties are at risk over the next few decades with rising sea levels and hundreds of thousands of homes are at risk.

Such dreadful news for the owners. I expect the views and location were the buying reasons for these properties.

Well, people who decided to live there knew the risks. "Advised to move" is pointlessly obvious.

All kinds of "experts" these days talk down to people, and they accept it as if they couldn't think of it themselves.
