People Not Wearing Mask Anymore

Other

I was wondering what you thing about it. I see more and more people not wearing masks. Infection rate is slowly going up, but seems like people do not care.

I asked on the weekend to some people to wear there mask during their shopping and some of them told me...we do not have mask...I was shocked....

People aren't gonna fall for the "second wave". That's just scaremongering.

The govt had their way making us house arrest basically, but not again.

I think the messaging is not clear on this one, because I am sure the rule was if someone goes berserk on not to wear it you can call the police.

But what I think people should be responsible and wear it without telling them...it is not something someone should tell them....Government made this rule, so someone should come and really make them pay if they not wear it. It would balance the missing tax 🙂...

AgnesFaludi This is took off the gov website

"The police can take measures if members of the public do not comply with this law without a valid exemption and transport operators can deny access to their public transport services if a passenger is not wearing a face covering, or direct them to wear one or leave a service"

Then

"Those who have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering should not be routinely asked to give any written evidence of this, this includes exemption cards. No person needs to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about their reason for not wearing a face covering"

So the person that doesn't want to wear a mistake tickles her nose ( i overheard this by someone outside a shop), now has a medical condition to be exempt and whose to question her?

Getsome For people who are really stubborn for no valid reason and don't actually have a condition etc, there's some charity they register with I believe. It's pathetic.

There does seem to be more people out and about not wearing masks, but that is just how I expected things to be over here, especially when more people are out and about

AgnesFaludi yes, with any major city centre, the risk is huge. But as everyone seems to be partying until tomorrow, I don't think a lot of people seem to care

But you don't have to wear them out and about. If I walk down a practically empty street I won't be wearing one, but I will if in company, at work or in shops as required. It is bad enough then as I can hardly breathe and get stressed as I have a nasal/sinus problem and find it even harder to breathe with a mask. But I don't moan and plead exemption, I put up with it. But I rush to finish things so I can rip the damn thing off!

I see a lot of people wearing chin straps. Will not do any good under chin. Ive also seen people wearing them properly until they want to smoke last I heard nicotine doesn't stop covid .

One other strange thing the other day I seen my dad in town he commented how many people was wearing them like they should but I was thinking how sad that so many aren't wearing them. Strange how two people can see same thing differently🤔

Yes, I see them too move the mask to their chin and than back to their face...

And most of the people are wearing the blue medical masks, which can only be used once.

Also I see a lot of them around, people just trow them on the street, nature...maybe river too...sure it will have an environmental impact. Not even sure it is safe to dispose in the bins....there should be a special way...

I've seen a lot of people without masks in shops. But, in my experience I haven't seen any staff reproach customers about not wearing them. If no one is really enforcing the wearing of face coverings and not many fines are been handed out. An increasing number of people will stop (or never start) wearing them 😷

People are scared to challenge someone without a mask incase they get a load of abuse or even violent. Also you can buy a lanyard on amazon to say you are exempt without any medical evidence so any tom **** or harry can buy one.

Getsome no I agree. If I worked in a shop I wouldn't want to have to challenge customers refusing to wear face coverings. I would assume that many of them would react in a hostile manner.

Love the way you got censored!

On a serious note, no-one wears a mask in these parts and no-one listens to government guidelines. Social distancing is zero.

I'm just waiting for a proper outbreak in the village.

More and more people are getting bored of this whole virus caper. All of these restrictions are about control and nothing more. The only reason as to why cases are slowly going up is because more and more people are being tested. Don't believe everything that the scaremongering media tells you. The country needs to get back to normal and learn to live with this virus. There may never be a vaccine or at least it will be a long way off. I am sorry about all the lives that were lost, but we can't carry on like this forever.

I completely agree. Why is no-one talking about deaths anymore? Because there are very few and it makes for less of a scary story. Where I live it is quite remote and I very seldom go into the local Co-Op. I have my shopping delivered.

I think the numbers are simply going up because a lot more people are mixing and not being so vigilant. Plus, if you test more people, you will obviously get more cases. Simple as that.

If I need to wear a mask anywhere, of course, I will. My neighbour has tailor-made me a rather swish one. Very stylish! But, to date, there have only been three times I have needed to: once at the hairdressers, once at the Co-Op and once at the Newsagents thus far.

The country is about to go through the biggest recession and it needs to get back to business. You can't scare a nation into staying at home, and then expect them to do an about-turn and trip back to their desk jobs. It's easier to get people to stay put going into a pandemic, then it is to get people back to normality.

Only my view. Mask up if you need to.

Xx

Ceebers Everyone NEEDS TO unless they're anti social (which will include some who are sociopaths)- it appears many people aren't aware that the primary purpose of face coverings is to protect others from the mask wearers who might have contacted the virus but haven't shown symptoms.

That is the reason masks weren't advised at the start, it was thought that wearing a mask might give those wearing one a false sense of security.

davidstockport That's strange. Why would people have a false sense of security by wearing a mask which actively prevents the transmission of the virus or, in turn, what differences would there be in terms of sense of security?

LordUnbox They are telling in the media, that less people get tested, because there is no capacity....

Ceebers They test less, capacity is not good enough, it is in the news everyday. The infection rate not going down and yesterday there was 30+ dead, so they enforcing new rules from Monday....That a group of 6 is not allowed...there are exceptions...like always...so u can just say u work...etc....

They should just make clear rules first place.

Also I think if someone does not want to wear mask, they can order stuff online.

And if someone not wears it....there is a fine £100 pounds. Someone should come and collect the money and the country would be not in recession, it may make a profit out of it.

AgnesFaludi if the doctors and nurses whom have been doing overtime, double shifts and even those that came out of retirement when COVID was a bigger scare are not doing as much anymore it's normal to think they are doing less tests.

Mark my words, we will have another national lockdown before long. It's not what people want to hear, but it will happen.

There's just been a cluster in our area because some idiot football and cricket club decided to ignore the law and have a gathering.

And with NO social distancing and NO masks around here, it's only a matter of time before there's an outbreak in the village.

Like

But also no one force the law....they could employ people who just give yellow or green or blue packages to them....maybe if they really need to pay £100 they will start to follow the rules.

So many people only care about themselves and are very selfish

We're seeing more people locally wear them which is good. Situation weeks ago was a lot of people were bleating about being exempt but bizarrely it always seemed to be entire families that were exempt not individuals. I get that they're not pleasant to wear but when nhs workers, care workers, emergency services etc are wearing them for long, long shifts I think Joe Public can put up with it for a ten minute jaunt round the co-op.

Sorry its the young again (supposedly educated !) . Ever since April they gather for parties , raves even in Parks and of course wearing a mask is "uncool" !

That's an undeniable fact , also a fact is where the majority of these children (or young adults with the common sense of children ) live . You've guessed it , not their fault , they live with their parents !

Lovely , precious teen or twenties little Johnny would never bring Covid into the house ?

Yet will sign into a pub down town as M.Mouse with a false phone number , attend house parties , never wear a face mask (its uncool !) and come home - sorry precious little Johnny IS bringing Covid into the family home then onto their parents, their parents friends then Grandparents (who are wearing masks and observing social distancing ) .

Doesn't take a genius to realise why its spreading exponentially !

It was not the young....pregnant woman with her partner....and he started to cough near to me...than I went around and if one does not wear the mask, the rest follows....none of them were teens, they were the exact age group who can get really sick from it.

I can’t say it bothers me that much. What bothers me is the people who don’t wash their hands, especially those who just walk out after visiting the loos. But that’s an age old problem, and it’ll never go away

In Scotland I’ve not seen a decrease in people wearing masks.. I’d say 95% have them on in supermarkets and shopping centres - the only place I see people not wearing them is cafes, pubs and restaurants coz theyve taken them off to eat and drink..
