Pet Insurance Good Value?
Money Saving
Is it safer to get pet insurance or put what I would pay for the insurance in a savings account and use that if needed iv heard mixed reviews
I wonted to do this but at 10 a month if something was to happen within first year you don’t really have enough plus if was to use a cattery or kennel most wont take without insurance papers I use Argos not made a claim yet fingers crossed plus do check other sites when renewal time
We have lifetime insurance. If she gets any illness then she is covered for all vet Bill's, we just pay the excess. She needed an operation last year, would have cost us £1500 for the operation, we paid £100 excess. If we had put the amount we pay each for insurance into an account for the 4 years we have had her, it wouldn't have covered the operation! If you can afford insurance then I think it is a good idea. My mother in law doesn't have pet insurance, she took the dog to the vet as she is really ill, had to pay £240 for a test, insurance would have covered it and paid for any other treatment.
