PG Tips could be sold by Unilever as cuppa goes out of fashion

The PG Tips and Lipton tea brands could be sold by consumer goods giant Unilever because they are falling out of favour with the public.

The firm is reviewing its tea business amid a slowdown in sales as more consumers switch to the herbal variety.

I am a great tea drinker although I don't usually have PG Tips as I find it expensive.

What do you think when another of our popular brands is bought up by a conglomerate?

Another worrying point raised right at the bottom of the article is that

'Unilever was taking a close look at such brands as Marmite, Magnum ice cream and Pot Noodle.' When companies such as these are sold off I believe that they change the recipe and therefore a winning formula is lost as I stop buying them.

What do you think of this?

If I am drinking normal tea then it is always PG tips but I drink mostly herbal, some black tea etc, so I probably only drink one to two cups of PG tips a week. I would be sad to see it go as I've drank it all my life
