Help

What is a phrase everyone would understand today, but 20 years ago would have been indecipherable?

Well, the second one could be considered a phrase but those other ones are just words.

'Google It' is a great one 👍

It's roughly Google's 20th birthday year now.

Originally the search engine used Stanford's website with the domain google.stanford.edu. The domain google.com was registered on September 15, 1997. They formally incorporated their company, Google, on September 4, 1998 in their friend Susan Wojcicki's garage in Menlo Park, California.

Gender fluid. And the words SICK and WICKED used as they are by the current generation of teens to mean the opposite. Snowflakes and millenials. Selfies and selfie stick. Hashtag.

It's been a couple of months since I've read someone using the word "sick" as a means to say something positive.

Not a phrase but the word 'Doctoring' apparently originated around the 2000's so people before that time would have just assumed it had something to do with doctors and whatnot.
