Pick N Mix Do You?

Ask a Question

do you still eat pick n mix what are your favorites or what do you prefer instead? As a grown woman my friends still laugh at how excited I am buying pick n mix at the cinema. That said its so expensive its now a very occasional treat. What about you all?

Nope i still get excited over pick n mix but i don't buy it at the cinema. I wait until its half price at Wilkos then get it, but im veggie so have a limited selection. Ive recently started buying vegan pick n mix online and they deliver it.

I don't buy it from the cinema - I use Wilkinson's. However our local market has a pick n mix stall so sometimes a few of us will go on our lunch break for some

No, unfortunately. I haven't had any since I was a teen. Don't really trust them now though from places like Wilko - anyone could have touched them. But I'd happily create my own at a sweet shop that only the shop workers can get to. Now I want sweets.

No i cant say I have ever liked the concept of pick n mix. I’m not really into sweets. But I do remember hovering around the jelly belly dispensers when I was a teen, but I always felt the dispensers were designed to get you to spend more than you need, so can’t say I buy into that

I love pick and mix, rarely have it (because of the thought of all the grubby fingers touching it 😂) but sometimes can't resist and when I do I'm like a big kid with the biggest grin on my face. Lol, it's the small things.

I like it, but sadly have it very infrequently. Apart from an occasional ice cream I don't like buying food at the cinema due to the ridiculous markup of prices. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any other places near me that sell Pick'n'Mix.

Occasionally buy it now, but most of the sweets seem to lack any flavour these days.

No...It is not so appealing for me...People after people go into it...Most of the times kids...

Also in Lidl I saw people eating out the pistachios from the big pick and mix bags.

I would sometimes indulge when the kids were young but it is now so expensive. You put what you think is a few in the bag and the cashier says 'that's £3.68 please'!

I also agree with the comment above as lots of people ignore the scoops and use their fingers.....yuk......who knows where the fingers have been!

Personally I don't really like sweets anymore, although I did as a kid. I prefer chocolate. I usually just get popcorn at the cinema. I also like cheesy nachos, but they never last me beyond the trailers 😂

I couldn’t contemplate ‘pick n mix’ as (to me) this falls into the same category as buffets. Anyone can have touched ANYTHING just before using them and when eager people have their money ready too. I can tell you that having worked in a bank – money is something that everyone uses and therefore it is disgusting. The change/notes in someone’s hot little hand while they choose their sweets is filthy. The added bonus? People cough & sneeze over the sweets/food. I find it all very unhygienic.

Some of you may say that these days people pay by plastic but using the 'pay for it yourself' tills brings other horrors. Have you ever seen anyone wiping the screen clean – ever? You touch it and again you are covered in germs. 🐞
