Are You Planning to Wear a Christmas Jumper on the 11th Dec ?

Normally, in work, we wear Christmas Jumper, and have a bit of a fund raiser for https://www.savethechildren.org.uk , people bring in snacks. There are raffles, prizes for the ugliest jumper etc.
It's part of the lead up to the festive season. There is talk of doing something virtually this year. Whilst I don't mind giving to charity, as they need the £. But not sure about wearing a Jumper.
If it's warm and colourful, my vote is go for it. A bit of cheerfulness and harmless silliness is just what we need to cheer us up at the moment. So who cares about fashion? It's more important to have a bit of fun and if you do wear a silly jumper, it's only for one day.
We have had an email about it at work and will be participating to raise funds for save the children also. I already have a jumper from last year which I didn’t wear so will probably use that, and donate the money to the fundraising.
I won’t as I don’t have a Christmas jumper, but I’ll still donate. I have a Christmas T-shirt so I guess I could wear that instead.
If I wear a Christmas jumper on my birthday in July and have done that since I was 12 then yeah I will always wear it for Christmas jumper next Friday .
People are fickle , give them a chance to act like the fool under the guise of " doing good " and there's no end of volunteers , it's simple rescind the child labour laws and let the little brats earn their own way ..
Everyone would be better donating the money they are wasting on buying the jumpers to charity.
Sound advice you’ve given, well done. I really dislike Christmas jumpers, I would rather wrap a piece of tinsel round my head.
I only own a Christmas jumper because my mother in law bought me one, I have worn it once. I will wear it on Christmas day this year as there will be a video chat and it will make my mother in law happy to see me wearing it. I won't be wearing it on the 11th, but I agree with your premise, donating the cost of the jumper would be much more helpful to the charity.
I don't own a Christmas jumper my kids will be wearing one although one wont be in school as class is self isolating so he won't be donating (I won't be)
