My son made some in maths last week but had problems it turned to goo. So I promised we would make more but lots of recipes include ingredients we dont have I'm sure you can make easily and cheaply but need instructions that work anyone got some
Loads on google done require more ingredients but this one most people have at home

Is there anything you can use instead of cream of tartar as I don't have any although depending on price might work out cheaper than remaking
Imnotcheap I just googled playdough recipe without cream or tartar and this is the ingredients that come up.... No Cream of Tartar Play Dough Recipe
1 cup of flour.
1/4 cup of salt.
3/4 cup of water.
3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Food colouring.
Any seasonings or scents you would like.
I had forgotten the oil and lemon juice no wonder it went wrong will have to try again pato

Imnotcheap Good luck, my daughter works in a nursery and makes playdough quite often, if all else fails I'll ask her what she uses, but I think this recipe should work.
Nursery gave me a recipe but I can't find it and now he is in reception. Thanks guess my table will get messy again @pato
