i tried to learn myself the guitar but sadly i was rubbish .. fter weeks of learnig the basic notes etc i then thought id turned in to jimmy hendrix and sat in front of you tube struming along but i was told i sounded like someone was dragging their nails down a blackboard . i was gutted i really thought i was good .. which instrument do u play
I learnt to play the piano, guitar, violin and the chanter. The only one I can still play is the piano as I gave the others up during my senior years at school as I didn't have time to practice all of them and study.
I play bass and a little bit of guitar. Definitely stick at it if it's what you enjoy doing. When I first started out I was rubbish and thought that I was never going to get anywhere with it. You do find that you start to make little improvements along the way and it's those improvements that keep you going 
Little bit of bass here and there. Only know a couple of songs though im still learning
