Do You like Poinsettia ?

Ask a Question

I like poinsettia it shouts Christmas to me, however my husband doesn't like the plant as he think it's old fashion and reminds him of his gran's house. What are your feelings and can you recommend an alternative festive plant ?

Does cold tea work? I'll have to try it as I have no luck with poinsettias and it's a Christmas miracle if they even make it to Christmas

I can remember as a kid often being told to pour the tea dregs over plants. That's when tea was made in a teapot!

Ann1984 no one to make tea for now but used to use tea leaves, half normal everyday tea, the other earl grey, delicious, especially with a cream tea!

While considered by the ancient Aztecs to be symbols of purity, in today's language of flowers, red, white or pink poinsettias, the December birth flower, symbolize good cheer and success and are said to bring wishes of mirth and celebration.

I love poinsettia, as they are a symbol of Christmas. How about a Christmas rose or an amaryllis if your husband doesn’t like them?
