Hey thank you for sharing this! You may be interested in reading and watching this guide to how to get points.
Please note, Latest Deals relies on members acting in good faith and points are a reward for helping each other.
Recently, we have experienced a rise in the number of mis-reported posts to get points. This is changing and anyone found doing this will have points deducted and their accounts may be suspended.
Thanks,
Tom

Tom I noticed that I was having posts reported as expired almost as soon as I had posted them - one evening within 10 mins I had the same 3 posts reported 5 times (none of which had expired)! Persumably this also creates more work for yourselves and the moderators ; I'm disappointed that it has been happening but glad that it has been noticed by yourselves and that something is being done about it, so thank you.

GirlieWhirlie Whatever people try to set up, there are always a few people that spoil it by silliness. You would think they would have something better to do.

Jaycee5 You’re right - was just so odd as I was getting 3 notifications every couple of minutes about the same posts, I checked them SO thoroughly as I didn’t understand what was going on! But what Tom has said makes sense, let’s hope it stops so we can get back to being the awesome little community we all know and love!

GirlieWhirlie This has happened to me in the past too. Some chaps really need to get with the vibe of the site. We are all here to help each other. Really this point thing is a sheer bonus. Simples. Xx

I'm glad to be told that - I won't bother GENUINELY reporting posts that in my opinion are not in accordance with your supposed rules if it might mean my account will be suspended. I have never done it for the points.
Tom I still find it totally unbelievable you actually now permit low cost items to be listed as FREEBIES especially when the sellers in no way claim the item is FREE - if the poster changes the low purchase price to P&P.
Yes I know that FREE items that have a p&p charge may be be listed as FREEBIES (if the p&p is stated), but it's my opinion that those who get the points for saying things are FREE when it's the actual p&p that is free, are not only misleading those who don't notice the "switch" but also defrauding you by getting many more points than the 5 points those who report the switch get.
Incidentally the 23 who have liked this Freebie that isn't a Freebie (it isn't the only one) have to date cost you another 115 points. https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/freebies/free-contact-lenses-hubblecontacts-2674 If you want proof the vendor doesn't claim it to be free - go through to checkout this is what you'll find - there is NO CHARGE for shipping just £1 for the product.
ADDED BY EDIT I do realise this is a topic someone has resurrected from quite some time ago but my reply is just as relevant today.

davidstockport Thank you for your opinion, we take on all feedback and hope to improve the freebie section in the future - for example, by providing an option to filter out all freebies that require a postage charge.
