How do you build up points?
Ask a Question
avee been wondering how does everyone build their points up on here
any pointers on how to go about it and how to get max points per day
If you're just on here to get points, it works out as less than 50p a day even if you do everything listed in the help section. That's a good chunk of effort. This is a website for sharing and finding good deals
I don't think that's what they meant.Newcomers to the site are often a bit confused about the points system.
laraquinn I disagree - "max points per day". That doesn't sound like somebody who's on here for the love of finding and posting a genuinely good deal to me but I'm willing to be proven wrong. Also, the information is all there loud and clear in the help section so I'm not sure why it would be confusing.
Dennab I'm on here mostly for the comps,I don't post deals etc,but that doesn't mean I don't want to build up some points. Most people do don't they?.As long as you don't abuse the points system, that's what it's there for. It's an incentive to keep coming back to this particular site as opposed to others.
laraquinn I don't personally care about points but I'm not questioning that anyway. Each to their own if you enjoy earning them! I mean that wanting to earn 'max points' usually ends up with a quantity over quality situation when deals are posted. In the grand scheme of things though, it's not important
You've been with LD since 2017 and haven't been posting things.
You would need to post things in order to gain the points.
Click once on your points total (top left next to your avatar) the point system is all clearly explained.
If you still have any queries after reading that either contact LD direct and ask or do as you have done here and add another comment to the bottom of this 'chat thread'.
Setup an e-mail address just to enter competitions, subscribe to newsletters and then go through the e-mails for offers and percentage off voucher codes. It might take abit of time, effort and patience but then not alot in life is free and effortless.
Before you post the offer or voucher code on here have a think before you do. Is it a really good deal on a product that you think people will be interested in? Is the percentage off the product really appealing?
There is no point just flooding the boards with stuff just to get points. You are making it more difficult for people to see the other deals which might be better and closer to what they might be interested in seeing.
Posting stuff on here isn't the only why to get ahead you can try paid surveys and ebay buying and selling.
Entering competitions might be fun, even if you don't win you might be spammed with offers and codes.
You can get a percentage cashback from buying on ebay through topcashback and quidco. Latestdeals and cashback sites are great but they are just sites in a giant ocean of sites on the internet.
